*All deposits or paid bookings are non refundable if cancelled under 24hrs.
**If the session time you require is not available and you have more than 10 players please call to book!
Paintball and Airsoft bookings are now capped at 6 people per group with 4 groups per session. For the duration of your time at Quex Activity Centre you must stay in your social bubble of 6 both during games and in the waiting area, you will not be able to mix with other bubbles and must stay socially distanced at all times,
Each bubble will be assigned a zone within each game arena this will also correlate to a bench, between games you must stay seated at your assigned bench and only get up to go the toilet, shop or indeed back to the game zone, marshals will greet you and guide you through the process, please follow instructions and signage carefully.
During game play you will be limited within your groups to certain zones, you must not cross into other zones, for the purpose of social distancing we have limited access to some bunkers,
if you have already pre booked with a larger group we will be in touch to discuss arrangements to alter your group into bubbles, it is extremely important that your groups do not intermingle, we have done all we can to keep you safe and the site open we ask you strictly observe the rules.
parking is no longer available at the site, you will need to park at the front of the estate in the grass paddock and walk to the site (please follow signage), the current car park has been adapted to increase distancing between groups
Parents and extra guests will count towards the bubble number of 6, we ask that you consider this when booking as we will refuse access to additional parties not included within the six, at least one parent/guardian will need to stay onsite at all times for players under 16 years of age, we do however have a separate area for additional parents/guardians to wait should any further wish to remain onsite, this is again subject to social distancing measures
Once your session has finished, we ask that you please put your overalls in the bin provided at the end of your assigned bench and leave the site immediately.
Anyone not adhering to the above guidelines or found being abusive to staff will immediately be removed from site without a refund.
These guidelines are subject to change in accordance with Government guidance.
if you are in any doubt please call prior to booking/attending site
Don’t worry… You’re in great hands! Paintball is great fun! It’s like a real life computer game, similar to call of duty just with loads of fresh air and action! You’ll get to play a variety of game scenarios. You are issued with a paintball marker which fires small balls of paint and these explode on impact leaving bright splat! There are lots of rules to paintball to keep everyone safe, at the start of the session the marshal in charge will hold a safety briefing, this is where you’ll also have the chance to ask any questions you might have. In the meantime, here are some of the frequently asked questions:
Does it hurt?
There’s no doubt that this is the most common question. Of course, if you do get shot you will feel it. It can mildly bruise, however the slight sting only lasts for a few seconds and you’ll be eager to get right back in the action again! We do recommend you wear additional layers to reduce this, and we do offer additional protective wear. So if you’re worried just ask, but we promise you’re in great hands and there’s nothing to worry about. Paintball is a super safe activity!
What should I wear?
Dress for the weather! Although the prospect of being shot by a paintball may be a little scary, you won’t want to wear 3 pairs of trackie bottoms and 2 hoodies in the middle of the summer. Wear comfortable, old clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy, or potentially damaged. Removable layers with long sleeves work best. We would not recommend jeans. As for footwear, walking boots work great! Football boots and trainers are also a good option, but don’t wear your newest pair of white Nikes – they won’t be the same colour afterwards! When it’s super muddy, welly boots are also a great choice (just ask our marshals!). A change of clothes and shoes is always a good idea, regardless of how muddy you get. Sandals, crocs and flipflops are not suitable and you will not be allowed to play if this is what you are wearing, this is PAINTBALL, not the beach!Â
Will I be with other people?
Yep! And we always say the more people the better! It’s very sociable so you’ll make some new friends and be working together through the session to make sure your team always win! However, if you require a private booking, please give us a call and we will see what we can do.
Is paintball suitable for children?
Yes! In fact, we’d say it’s a great activity for them! However, parents need to know about the nature of the activity and decide for themselves whether their particular child is hardy, and mature enough to participate in paintball (as the thought that a team of 20 people charging at you firing can be a little scary). Marshals are fully trained and do keep an eye on all younger players though to make sure they are safe and have the best day ever!
What happens if it’s raining?
Come rain or shine, the battles on! We only cancel games in extreme weather conditions.
What’s included with my game?
We provide absolutely everything to make sure you have a great day! Full-body camo overalls, a face mask, a snood (which provides additional head protection) and of course a paintball marker (that’s the gun, pew pew pew). Additional body armour is available for younger players.
