Quex Park is exceptionally well placed to provide a memorable group visit with professional, flexible and comprehensive group facilities in a historic country setting.
Depending on the type of group, there are a variety of attractions at Quex Park including the Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens, Adventure Golf, Activity Centre & The Field of Fun.
With such wide-ranging museum collection of national importance, The Powell Cotton Museum is frequently visited by researchers, school & colleague groups, along with the rest of the Park
being used for Adventure and Activity day trips.
Our Activity Day Trip package is outlined below and has been designed to promote inter-social & attention
skills as well as team work and communication.
However, we would be happy to discuss any specific requirements that you may have and tailor make
a bespoke group package for you.
Quex Park is easily accessible by road and is ideally situated close to transport links. We carry full public liability insurance and are an approved KCC site.

9.30am: Arrival at Quex Activity Centre & introduction
9.45am – 11.15am: Session 1
11.30am – 12.30pm: Activities at Field of Fun
12.45pm – 1.30pm: Lunch
1.45pm – 3.15pm: Session 2
3.30pm: Debrief & depart

Coil pot clay:
Learn about the traditional African craft of coil pot making through demonstrations and watching archive footage taken by Percy Powell-Cotton from his meeting with renowned Zande potter Mbitim in 1933. Then you and your group can have a go at making a clay pot to take home.
Learn about the different techniques used to make traditional African textiles by visiting our African Textiles exhibition and exploring examples in our handling collection. Then create your own textile to take home.
History- 3 Tower Tour:
Quex Park is host to multiple historic building, most well known as ‘The Three Towers’. Our guided tours take you on an historic adventure and into the buildings that are normally closed to the public.
Great fun team games in one of our 4 themed arenas.
A full session made up of mini team building activities including Nightlines, Minefield, plank walking and other activities, which are all designed to excite, motivate and inspire students whilst learning and building on key skills such as problem solving, self-belief and communication.
This ‘classroom in the woodland’ session has been designed to enrich and reinforce learning with a hands-on range of nature based topics. These include leaves to trees, conservation and the local environment.
